Myths and Fables

Because of my training in history and art history, I often focus on the historic and mythological in my paintings. Sometimes I combine both in paintings of medieval Paris rooted in Roman Lutetia, as when Apollo in his chariot rises over the pantheon or Bacchus appears in conjunction with Paris landmarks. Also, these motifs assume humorous aspects, such as the First Grand Piano Race in the First Olympiad and, or of the royal card games and jacks re-enacting the Trojan war.
