Chairs Descending on Tampa

30×42 inches, oil, acrylic, ink, pastel, and combined media on paper

Damp, humid, sultry. The chairs descend like tarantulas from the sky between and above palm trees. That’s the Acapulco balustrade in the repeating garish colors! Tampa has the world’s longest continuous balustraded sidewalk on Bayshore Boulevard. The intense colors are a mixture of paint and pastel.
